The Rona Funk - COVID affecting Jazz Fest performances

 If you've been to a stage at Jazz Fest or a night show the chances of seeing George Porter, jr. playing are pretty good. For years it's been noted that GPjr is everywhere. Well second weekenders will see the void as GPjr is taking the weekend off, recovering from COVID-19.

Porter said the discomfort is mostly in his head, but that he felt better Saturday than he did Friday and hopes to feel even better today.

"Hopefully — maybe — I'll be out of this by Monday," Porter said. "Y'all be safe out there man, that stuff is still happening. Happy jazz fest."
