The National Museum of African American Music will officially open its doors on Jan. 18, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day. A socially distanced ribbon-cutting ceremony with the museum's board members and staff, elected officials and community leaders will take place at the museum's entrance at the corner of Fifth Avenue and Broadway, facing the Ryman on one side and Bridgestone Arena on another. The event will be held in partnership with the Interdenominational Ministers Fellowship as part of its MLK Day programming.
