Jazz Fest’s Application Guidelines for Musicians Announced

October 1 Deadline for 2016 Festival

The New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival presented by Shell (April 22 – May 1, 2016) will accept applications from bands wishing to perform at the 2016 festival through Thursday, October 1, 2015.

The mission of Jazz Fest is to promote, preserve, perpetuate, and encourage the music, arts, culture and heritage of New Orleans and Louisiana. Approximately 85% of the bands selected to play at the festival are Louisiana-based performers.

Competition for the remaining slots at the festival is highly competitive.

All qualified applicants are encouraged to submit their application online before midnight on Thursday, October 1, by visiting the web site nojazzfest.com/apply
